Healthy Subjects Body Physique and Its Effect on Trunk Imbalance and Surface Rotation.

abeer Abdel Fttah ali, Mohamed Fetouh Rawash.

Abstract
Abstract
Background/aim: In recent years, body physique has been of growing concern to researchers due to observations to its relation to different skeletal abnormalities and systemic diseases. Values of sagittal curves measurements on spine present great variability in normal individuals, with a wide variation range for those, within normality limits. The aim of this study was to investigate and compare trunk imbalance and surface rotation parameters between the three types of body physique in healthy subjects.
Material and methods: sixty healthy subjects participated in this study. Their age ranged from 17 25years and their body mass index was ˂30 kgm2.They were assigned into three groups. Group A endomorph group, group B was mesomorph group) and group C was ectomorph group. The assessment of the trunk imbalance and surface rotation parameters were applied for the three groups by the same physiotherapist. A prospective study investigated postural parameters of sixty healthy subjects (17 25) years, BMI (˂30) kgm2.
Results: There was no statistical difference between the three groups regarding the parameters [trunk imbalance and surface rotation (rms)]. Females of the ectomorph group showed lower trunk imbalance (2.5 ̊ 0.4 ̊), higher surface rotation ( 3.6 ̊ 0.7 ̊) and than males { (9.2 ̊  1.26 ̊) and ( 2.5 ̊ 0.37 ̊) respectively.
Conclusion: We suggest that This description of the physiological spinal postural parameters should help in predicting musculoskeletal conditions to which each body physique may be prone, so before a patient with spinal abnormality is treated, his body physique needs to be taken into account.

Key words: Body physique, Postural parameters, trunk imbalance, surface rotation.
